(pro rata) RN03 | Full-Time Ongoing from 13 Nov 2023Flinders Medical Centre is looking for their next Nurse Consultant to join their Urology Team.The Urology Nurse Consultant is a pivotal role within the Division of Surgical and Perioperative Medicine, providing advanced clinical nursing expertise in the management of patients with urological and continence conditions. This role encompasses clinical leadership, education, coordination, and project leadership to optimise patient outcomes and promote best practices in urological and continence care.The Urology Nurse Consultant:Provides advanced clinical nursing expertise for patients with urological and continence conditions;Offers clinical leadership, including care coordination, referrals, and multidisciplinary team support;Monitors and reports outcomes within the Urology Unit;Educates healthcare professionals and students to promote best practices; andLeads projects and programs to enhance clinical expertise and patient outcomes.To be successful in this role, you will have:Proven experience in Urological and Continence nursing practice,Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills,Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities,Commitment to continuous professional development.To be appointed at the RN3C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have recent demonstrated competence in an equivalent practice setting with at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.To be considered for this role, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
